Crest View

Established in 1958, Crest View Elementary has been a cornerstone of the North Boulder community for over six decades. For the 2025–2026 school year, we proudly serve 333 students across two sections of Kindergarten through 3rd grade, and three sections each of 4th and 5th grade. Our school mascot, the Cougar, reflects the strength, resilience, and curiosity we aim to instill in every student.

Crest View is proud to serve a vibrant and diverse neighborhood community. Approximately 44% of our students identify as students of color, and we are deeply committed to fostering a learning environment where all students feel seen, supported, and valued. Our inclusive culture also embraces a wide range of learning profiles, including a significant population of neurodiverse learners. We are home to the ICAN program (Intensive Learning Center for Students with Affective Needs), an intensive learning center that supports students with social-emotional challenges in a compassionate and structured setting.

Our campus is uniquely enriched by an expansive footprint of green space, including a natural wetlands area lovingly known as The Habitat, as well as multiple outdoor learning environments. One of these spaces, The Nest, was thoughtfully designed by our 2023–2024 fifth grade class and continues to serve as a powerful extension of the classroom. These outdoor areas support hands-on, nature-based learning that is an integral part of the Crest View experience.

We have a long-standing reputation for academic excellence balanced with strong social-emotional support. Our talented and caring teaching staff includes both seasoned educators—some of whom have served Crest View families for over 20 years—and dynamic new teachers who bring fresh energy and ideas. We are proud to partner with Colorado State University (CSU) and the University of Colorado Boulder to host and mentor student teachers as part of our commitment to growing the next generation of educators.

Guided by our school vision, to create a safe, joyful, and engaging learning environment where everyone belongs,” we live out our values of equity, diversity, inclusive collaboration, and global citizenship every day. Our goal is to ensure that each student experiences meaningful growth—academically, socially, and emotionally.

Crest View—where everyone belongs.
