Policies
Arriving At School
School begins promptly at 7:50 a.m. Playground supervision begins at 7:40 a.m. each morning. For the safety of your child, please do not allow children to arrive at school prior to 7:40 a.m. When students arrive in the morning, they should wait outside in their grade level's designated area, dressed appropriately for the weather. The only students who may enter the building before the bell rings are those going to breakfast (served from 7:30 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. every day). Breakfast eaters must remain in the cafeteria until the 7:50 a.m. bell rings.
During severe weather, when school is in session, students can enter the building upon arrival and go directly to their classrooms or breakfast.
Attendance Procedures
If your child will be late or absent, please notify the school office by 8:15 a.m. Notification can be done by leaving a message on the 24-hour attendance line (720-561-5459).
Tardy Policy
The tone of each day is set during the first few minutes of class and an important portion of the daily lesson is presented during this same precious time. We urge you to stress the importance of regular, prompt attendance and appreciate parent/guardian support in this matter as all students benefit from a timely start.
